摘要
Condition monitoring is the most important aspect to predict the working condition of any machine. Among the various condition monitoring techniques, vibration monitoring is an important technique. This paper illustrates a low cost technique being developed for the vibration monitoring of the rolling element bearing. The main hardware used in this system consists of a MEMS accelerometer and an Arduino UNO microcontroller. Arduino UNO is used as the data acquisition system to receive the vibration signals from the MEMS accelerometer and transfer it to the computer through serial communication. MATLAB software is used for the time domain and frequency domain analysis of the vibration data.
