Oscillation criteria for second order quasilinear delay differential equation (r(t)psi(x(t))vertical bar Z'(t)vertical bar(alpha-1)Z'(t))' + q(t)f(x(sigma(t))) = 0, t >= t(0), where Z(t) = x(t) + p(t)x(tau(t)) and alpha > 0, are established under the conditions: integral(infinity)(t0) r(-1/alpha)(s)ds = infinity or integral(infinity)(t0) r(-1/alpha)(s)ds < infinity, respectively. The results obtained here improve and extend some known results in literature. (C) 2008 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
