摘要
We report terahertz (THz) radiation from a 250-mu m-diameter metal wire irradiated by a 160-fs infrared laser pulse. The detected radiation field is comparable to that from a 1-mm thick < 110 > ZnTe THz emitter under the same incident laser intensity of 280 GW/cm(2). Photoemission is considered as the dominant mechanism to generate the transient radiation current in the wire. (C) 2013 AIP Publishing LLC.
