摘要
Venous aneurysms (VA) are rare conditions that can affect any segment of the major veins. When they occur, they are more common in the supra-diaphragmatic part of the body, but seldom can also be located in the superficial or deep venous system of the lower limbs. Their main complication is thrombosis, which leads to the risk of pulmonary embolism. This article presents and discusses the case of a great saphenous vein giant aneurysm, diagnosed in an obese female patient with other associated pathologies.
