摘要
A new type of hybrid SiC foam - SiC particles - Al composites to be used as a brake material used on the high speed train were fabricated by squeeze casting technique, The influence of SiC particles size on the composites and the fracture mechanism of the hybrid composites were investigated. The results show the SiC particulate and foam reinforcement play important role on the behavior of the composites. The interface bonding in the hybrid composites is well for the composites has the unique double interpenetrating structure. The interface bonding and the pore at the interface in composites determined the failure mechanism of the composites.
