摘要
A new liquid chromatographic method was developed for the chiral separation of the enantiomers of betaxolol hydrochloride. The enantiomers were separated by a Chiralpak IB (250 x 4.6 mm, 5 mu m) at 30 degrees C and detected at 274 nm, the mobile phase used was n-hexane-ethanol (95/5, V/V), 0.2% diethylamine (DEA), with a flow rate of 0.8mL . min(-1). The enantiomers of betaxolol hydrochloride were separated for the first time with the Chiralpak IB column, and the resolution was 5.26. With the fluorescence detection (lambda(ex) = 227 nm, lambda(em) = 305 nm), the method was applicable for the determination of the enantiomers of betaxolol hydrochloride in rabbit plasma.
