摘要
Phytoremediation techniques can be used to decontaminate soil and water with residues of herbicides with longer residual periods that are highly leachable. Interception of these herbicides before they reach watercourses is an alternative method to manage these pesticides. Therefore, the present study aimed to select phytoremediator forest species under simulated conditions for riparian regions near cultivated lands where atrazine and 2,4-D are applied. The species Cedrela fissilis, Caesalpinia ferrea, Handroanthus serratifolius, and Schinopsis brasiliensis are not recommended for recomposition of riparian areas near agricultural fields where atrazine and 2,4-D are applied. Inga marginata was tolerant to atrazine and reduced the concentration of this herbicide in the soil. Specific bacteria present in the rhizosphere of Inga marginata may aid in the degradation of atrazine.
