Synthesis and Crystal Structure of Triammine Pentafluorido Tantalum(V) [TaF5(NH3)3]

摘要：

[Sr(HF)(3)(TaF6)(2)] reacts with liquid ammonia under the formation of colorless crystals of triammine pentafluorido tantalum(V) [TaF5(NH3)(3)] (1). The structure was elucidated by low-temperature X-ray structure analysis. Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 5.1525(6), b = 11.736(1), c = 10.171(1) angstrom, = 94.843(9)degrees, V = 612.8(1) angstrom(3) at 123 K with Z = 4. Its structure displays discrete TaF5(NH3)(3) molecules, which are interconnected by N-HF hydrogen bonds to form a complex three-dimensional network. The title compound is a rare example of a neutral, molecular, eight-coordinate tantalum species.
