Structure-Aware Time-Domain Finite-element Method for Efficient Simulation of VLSI Circuits

摘要：
A fast linear-complexity time-domain finite-element algorithm is developed to preserve the matrix structure, resulting from the layered permittivity and Manhattan geometry present in the VLSI circuits, in the direct solution of the system matrix. As a result, the matrix solution cost is made negligible for the brick-element based discretization with edge bases. Numerical experiments have validated its accuracy and efficiency.
