摘要
LTE (Long Term Evolution) is a 4G cellular network technology that provides improved performance in terms of data rate, coverage and capacity compared to other cellular systems. In this context, one of the main goals of LTE is to provide fast and seamless handover when a person moves from one cell to another by keeping the delay minimum. Hence, the design of an efficient and successful handover requires a careful selection of HO(Handoff) parameters and the optimal setting of them. In order to optimize the handover decision till now most of the researches have focused on RSSI, Distance from enode, Velocity of the user etc. But this research focuses on different combinations of the above mentioned parameters along with User served, bandwidth and to incorporate the effect of fading in network signal a new parameter of path loss is introduced so that ping pong effect i.e (unnecessary handover due to signal fluctuation) can be reduced. In this work fuzzy MIMO system is designed which hs not been implemented yet in LTE network. This fuzzy MIMO system fuzzify six input parameters and produce three output decision simultaneously i.e handover decision, network selection, Packet loss within the same system. In this fuzzy MIMO system,300 inference rules have been designed which after defuzzification provides the minimum handoff decision value to be 0.32 which in earlier research work has been around 0.8 while the user is serving 4G frequency i.e 1870 MHz and travelling at a speed more than 65 Kmph. Quality of service is improved significantly with the reduction in packet loss to 0.22. In this way more precise handover optimization is achieved through fuzzy MIMO system.
