摘要
Relay technologies have been actively studied and considered as one of the most important technical components i n 3GPP LT E-Advanced. LTE Advanced networks with relays and trad itional LTE networks m ay operate in t he same geographical area in adja cent cha nnels. The coexistence is sue bet ween the two system s is becoming urgent in the standardization of relay in LTE-advanced. In t his pa per, the feasibility of relays i n L TE-Advanced i s st udied f rom a coexistence pers pective. W e discuss the classification of relays and how they w ork in the current system in t he first place. Then we present the Adjacent Channel Inte rference Ratio (ACIR) model and t he rel ay coexi stence m ethodology. Different co existence s cenarios wh en LTE a nd LTE-Advanced are deployed in adjacent frequency bands are t hen inv estigated. Fin ally, simu lation results such as th e throughput loss are given with different R adio F requency (R F) parameters. Simulation results sh ow th at relay nodes can coexist with LTE systems under current RF system parameters.
