摘要
The development of an automatic end-to-end system which transforms interactions in 3D graphics into a succinct representation depicted by comics is discussed. The system is based on principles of comic theory and can produce different comic sequences on the basis of user provided semantic parameters, such as view point and level-of-details using the same reduction principle in both the temporal and the spatial domains. The system starts with a log of events based on payer interactions inside a 3D virtual world and progresses through several steps to generate a series of comic strips highlighting important events from the log. Comics use two more transition in which time doesn't play a central role: a concept-to-concept transition that doesn't depict much action, and a nonsequitur, which is a sequencer of images with no logical relationship. In terms of rendering and stylization, the use of 3D rendering instead of 2D images postprocessing will open new possibilities.
