摘要：

The explosion of the World Wide Web (WWW) has created amazing opportunities that educators did not have, even a few years ago. And although a basic level of equipment is required, a determined instructor -- even one operating on a virtual shoestring; even one who is an avowed "non-trekkie"-can use the WWW as a MULTIPLIER of resources for educational purposes. This instructor has been using the Internet in English and Journalism classes for several years. This paper is premised on the notion that in the information technology equation, "information" must be the privileged term. The paper will detail a number of wars the WWW can extend the power of both the instructor and the student.
