摘要
We have considered an operation of the planetary electric generator taking into account the altitude variation of the atmospheric conductivity under the global fair-weather condition. Distributions of electric potential, current density and charge density inside the planet, in the atmosphere and magnetosphere have been determined. As applied to the terrestrial conditions, the proposed model permits to determine the altitude profiles of electric field and current in the atmosphere and gives a reasonable value of electric current density near the planetary surface.
