Music perception and memory

This article examines some studies in psychology about the way people perceive and remember music. Such studies, most of which started within the framework of psychophysics in the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, continued at the macro level in recent years. In current studies, the perception and memory of music ranging from individual tones to complete pieces. The purpose of this article is to give examples from some classical studies on the perception and memory of individual components of music and to review macro level studies of the last 20 years.
