User experience (UX) refers to a person's emotions and attitudes about using a particular product, system or service. It includes a person's perceptions of various related aspects such as utility, ease of use and efficiency. In our work, we decided to test and evaluated a potential of UX use under the conditions of a small company in Slovakia. We started with an analysis of relevant business processes in the company with the aim to identify possible points for change or improvement. Based on the results, we designed a new web application to support related company's processes. During the design phase, we used suitable UX elements to ensure the most positive end-user perception with the final prototype, such as paper sketches, wireframes or functional prototypes. The final version brought a high level of customer satisfaction. He did not evaluate positively only the implemented functionalities and usability of the web application, but also the UX elements he came into contact with. The most important lessons learned are intensive communication with end-user during the whole development process; a decision about a common vocabulary to make this communication easier; an organisation of the f2f testing sessions, not only in virtual form.
