Epipericardial fat necrosis clinically mimicking pulmonary embolism: computed tomographic angiography findings

Epipericardial fat necrosis is a rare pathology among the causes of chest pain. In this case report, we aimed to present computed tomographic findings of epipericardial fat necrosis, which was detected in a 22-year-old man. The patient with a sudden onset of chest pain was referred to the emergency department, and then computed tomographic angiography examination was performed with an initial diagnosis of pulmonary embolism.
