Forging Faculty-Student Relationships at the College Level Using a First-Year Research Experience

摘要
Engaging students in research beginning their first year and having that early experience coupled into their honors senior project is one unique component of the honors general chemistry laboratory program. A research experience spanning four years offers our students the opportunity to do masters-quality research at a PUI. The continued and sustained research experience has resulted in a rise in the number of research journal papers and conference proceedings with first-year and second-year students as coauthors. © Division of Chemical Education.
