摘要
This study involves the corrosion of titanium zinc under atmospheric conditions. A total of 21 experimental areas of 4 m(2) have been exposed to the outside climate. These areas (on the one hand brand new and on the other weathered) were directed at an angle of 7-degrees and 45-degrees to the ground. In addition, they were positioned north-, south-, west- and eastward. Regulary collected rain water, which had drained over the experimental areas, was tested for the titanium zinc content using the AAS and ICE-AES method. The results of this study hope to provide an insight into the reduction of titanium zinc in correlation to the area. The aim was to be able to provide reliable data on the durability of titanium zinc roofing as well as on the content of titanium zinc particles in the rain water. The figures presented are based on an eight-year period. This experiment is being continued on five of these areas, all directed westward.
