Precipitation of sulfates from wastewater from 2-ethylhexyl nitrate production by using calcium aluminate cement

摘要：
Sulfates, nitrates and org. matter-contg. wastewater from prodn. of BuEtCHCH2ONO2 was treated with Ca aluminate cement to ppt. the impurities. Under optimum conditions (cement content 2.16 g/L, pH 11.6, reaction time 180 min), the concns. of sulfates, nitrates in the wastewater were decreased by 77.8 and 8.3%, resp., and COD was decreased by 14.0%.
