摘要
Defibered wool carpet and textile wastes were used as reinforcing materials for manufg. the low density polyethylene-polypropylene blend and poly(vinyl chloride)-matrix composites by roiling and single or twin-screw extrusion. For comparison, defibred wastes of carpets made of poly-acrylonitril (80%) and polyamide-6 (20%) were used. Test samples of composites were studied for microstructure and for tensile and bending strength, yield point, impact strength and elongation at fracture before and after ageing (UV irradn., water condensation). The mech. Resistance of the composites increased (except for impact strength and elongation at fracture) with increasing content of the reinforcing material (up to 30 wt. %).
