摘要
This paper presents a dual port planar inverted F antenna. This antenna consists of a radiating patch with two isolated feed which are perpendicular to each other to save the space and cost. Slot has been introduced in the ground plane to achieve the isolation between the two ports. The height of the antenna is taken as 3mm which makes it suitable for the handheld devices. From the simulated results it can be seen that antenna covers the frequency band from 2.1 to 2.9 GHz for S-11 < = 10db. This antenna can be used for wireless LAN, long term evolution (LTE) and for worldwide interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) frequency ranging from 2.5 to 2.7 GHz. It can also be used in mobile handsets as diversity and multiple-input-multiple-output(MIMO) antenna for different applications.
