摘要
Quality of life is defined by the World Health Organization as an individual's perception of their position in life in the cultural context and value systems in which they live, and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concerns. Thus, the aim of this study was to analyze the quality of life of athletes of the basic categories of football of Greater Florianopolis. Being a descriptive research of quantitative nature and cross-sectional design. Fifty-eight athletes from two categories of two clubs from the Greater Florianopolis region participated in the study. To assess Quality of Life, the Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (TM) (PedsQL (TM) 4.0) was used to assess health-related quality of life (HRQoL). This instrument evaluates four dimensions: physical, emotional, social, and school functioning. Non-normal distribution of data was confirmed after analysis of the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. For comparison between continuous variables, the Kruskal-Wallis test was performed. Thus, the result found with the lowest score was in the emotional domain, in which athletes live an exhausting teaching-learning process, with exaggerated demands, affecting the psychological. Thus, social, family and club support, where encouragement helps these young people make better decisions, is of great importance.
