摘要：

The zoogeographical distribution of 19 species of ptyctimous mites has been more precisely determined based on new localities from the Afrotropical Region. The description of a new species Arphthicarus ethiopicus n. sp. is given. A few taxonomical and nomenclatorial comments are given.
