摘要
In this paper, a protection algorithm for elastic optical networks is proposed. The proposed algorithm takes into account the power consumption of the routes and the physical layer impairments to choose the working and protection routes. A performance evaluation study is carry out comparing the proposed algorithm with other algorithms presented in the literature. In general, the results show a good performance of the proposed algorithm in comparison to the other algorithms considered in terms of circuit blocking probability and power consumption.
