摘要
This presentation is focused on practical application of Metrohm-Applikon On-line analyzer ADI 2045Ti in VVER-440 type reactor in Nuclear power plant Dukovany. Chemistry in VVERs is different than that used in PWRs and the knowledge of the concentration of ammonia is crucial for keeping oxygen level as low as possible to prevent corrosion. Potassium hydroxide is added to counter the acidity of hydroboric acid. Analyzer is designed for determination of Potassium and ammonia ions by standard addition method with Metrohm ISE electrodes. Analyzers are now operational for more than 1 year. For presentation purposes one month of data were chosen. Measured data were processed in QC EXPERT statistical software developed by Trilobyte Ltd. The results delivered by analyzer are corresponding with theoretical values as well as results provided by laboratory.
