摘要
Media data possesses a number of unique characteristics that differentiate it from other data types. To make such rich content pervasive and easy to use in a peer-to-peer system, it is crucial to consider certain characteristics when designing the system. In fact, the Media Accelerating Peer Services system extended the P2P infrastructures to improve multimedia services across heterogeneous computing platforms. This paper shows how peer-to-peer systems can be enhanced to better support media.
