摘要
A design and principle of operation of a prototype plasmatron developed for ignition of pulverized coal in boiler furnaces are described. An experimental plasma assisted start-up system consisting of a plasmatron and a pulverized coal muffle burner is shown. The results of an economic analysis comparing the plasma-assisted start-up system with other methods of lighting boilers are presented. Also guidelines for further studies are given.
