摘要
Shear induces a wide variety of structural transformations in complex fluids. The complexity of the subject guarantees that this will remain an active field for some time to come. A brief review of the current literature on the subject is given, and an attempt to extract general or unifying themes is made. Some general trends and weaknesses in the direction of current research are identified and suggestions made. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
