摘要
Objective: To explore the significance of human papilloma virus (HPV) 58 infection and its integration in cervical exfoliated cells. HPV58 was detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Methods: The copies of HPV58 E2, E6 and human housekeeping gene beta-actin were tested by Quantitative PCR for analysis the relationship between HPV58 integration and cervical lesions. 21 cases were HPV58-positive from 589 specimens. Results: Among the samples, 2 cases were pure episomal with E2/E6 ratios >1; 5 case were pure integrated with E2/E6 ratio= zero; 14 cases were mixture of integration and episomal with 0 <E2/E6 ratio>1 . The prevalence of episomal type decreased gradually and the prevalence of integrated (episomal and integration) forms increased with progression of cervical disease, and the pure integration of HPV58 integrated into chromosome 1, 2, 5, 8. Conclusion: HPV58 integrated into the host genome may be a key factor in cervical lesions that suggests the patients of high risk for cervical lesions can be found by screening HPV58 infection and integration.
