A case report of breast hamartoma

Hamartoma of the breast is a rare clinico-pathologic entity. It is unusual benign breast tumor compose of variable mixture of fat and fibrous and glandular tissue. Its clinical diagnosis is not difficult when is made on basis of a combination of radiologic and pathologic features. Its differential diagnosis includes a circumscribed fibrocystic mass, fibroadenoma, lipoma, cystosarcoma phylloides, and various carcinomas. A hight index of suspicion is mandatory. In our study, we report a case of hamartoma of the breast in a young female patient, including treatment of the tumor by excisional biopsy and correction of resulting breast deformity by mastopexy. And histological slide Mammographically hamartomas was ovoid, and the lesion was well circumscribed. Sonographically there were cystic areas with diameter max 3 cm. Pathologically diameter was 5 cm.
