摘要
Controlled Permeability Formwork is a technique aimed at improving the durability of concrete by reducing the water cement ratio in the surface zone. In Europe, CPF has been used to cast water retaining, bridge and pier structures, and shows an improvement in durability when compared to traditional formwork. The focus of the project reported here has been to investigate its performance in typical Australian climates with a focus on the potential to reduce curing times. At present curing times of up to 14 days are specified for ordinary formwork in northern regions of Australia and the surrounding Pacific region. Any reduction in these times could lead to significant savings in construction costs. This paper presents a summary of recent results obtained from coastal exposure sites. Results comparing the performance of traditional formwork with CPF are discussed.
