Kinetics parameters for deformation-induced martensitic transformation in austenitic stainless steels

摘要
A new characteristic temperature, TM50, for the deformation-induced martensite (DIM) transformation in austenitic stainless steels (SS) is proposed. It has a simple definition: the maximum temperature beyond which it is not possible to obtain 50% of DIM in austenitic SS. The model parameters for the DIM kinetics were also used to calculate M-d30 temperatures. Two characteristic temperatures viz. TM50 and M-d30 are compared for different austenitic SS.
