摘要
Ethyl cellulose based acrylate (AEC), an ethyl cellulose based macromonomer, was successfully synthesized by the esterificaiton reaction between ethyl cellulose and acryloyl chloride in homogeneous media and characterized by FTIR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). The results showed that acrylic group was facilely grafted onto the backbone of ethyl cellulose. In addition, AEC was proved to be able to homopolymerize and copolymerize with other monomers such as butyl acrylate in the presence of free radical polymerization initiator. We believed that development of AEC together with the analysis of its structure and properties would contribute to further utilization of cellulose based materials.
