Synthesis and structures of a layered and a tubular antimony(III) phosphonate

摘要
Sb2O(CH3PO3)(2) (1) and NH4(SbO)(3)(CH3PO3)(2) (2) were synthesized by hydrothermal methods and their structures solved from powder and single-crystal X-ray diffraction data, respectively. 1 is monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c (No. 14) with a = 4.7569(3) Angstrom, b = 19.944(1) Angstrom, c = 9.9147(5) Angstrom,beta = 95.292(5)degrees, V = 936.60(6) Angstrom(3), Z = 4. 2 is triclinic, space group P (1) over bar (No. 2) with a = 6.915(2) Angstrom, b = 9.506(3) Angstrom, c = 9.800(3) Angstrom, alpha = 105.254(5)degrees, beta = 94.206(5)degrees, gamma = 90.807(5)degrees, V= 619.4(3) Angstrom(3), Z = 2. Both structures contain 3-rings made from corner-sharing [SbO4E] and [CH3PO3] polyhedra. 1 is a layered material, while 2 is a solid made of nanotubes containing building motifs related to the spiro-5 units found in some [TO4]-based open frameworks.
