Design of Wide-brimmed Coupler Based on LTCC Technology

摘要
this paper presents the method of a s band wide-brimmed coupler. The coupler based on LTCC technology is composed of the strip-line horizontally, so as to realize higher coupling. By ADS circuit simulation and the HFSS software to optimize the 3D modeling, the measurement results of coupler match the electromagnetic simulation results, the center frequency of coupler is 3.1 GHz, the bandwidth is 900MHz, insertion loss of straight side and coupling end are superior to 3.25 dB, isolation attenuation is superior to 26 dB, the phase difference between straight and coupling side is +/- 90 degrees, the size is only 5.4 mm x 4 mm x 2.2 mm. Strip-line distributed structure is adopted in this design to realize the miniaturization of the coupler.
