Synthesis of 4′-azido-2,2′: 6′,2"-terpyridines and their iron(II) and ruthenium(II) complexes

摘要：
Three different 4'-azido-2,2':6',2 "-terpyridines have been synthesised. The structure of 4'-azido-2,2':6',2 "-terpyridine was determined by X-ray crystal structure analysis. The iron(II) complex of this ligand has been prepared, while the azide group was reduced to amine in the ruthenium(II) complex under the reaction conditions.
