Vibrational spectroscopy of H- and D- ions in CaF2, SrF2 and BaF2

摘要
H- and D- ions are excellent spectroscopic probes of ionic sites in fluoride crystals. The H- or D- ions substitute for F- ions and produce sharp infrared absorption lines, whose spectroscopy reveals hydrogenic centres for co-doped R3+ or alkali-ion crystals. The results on the dynamics of the local modes for H- and D- ions in CaF2, SrF2 and BaF2 obtained at the Felix free-electron laser facility in Utrecht are reported and discussed.
