摘要
The experimental evidence for dilute alpha-particle states in C-12 and O-16 is discussed. The question of the location of the 2(+) excitation of the 7.65 MeV C-12 state remains unresolved. It is proposed that the 17.1 and 17.5 MeV 2(+) excited states in O-16 may correspond to the excitation of the alpha-particle 4 alpha gas state.
