摘要
In relation to the "Parallele burlesque" between Rabelais and Homer by Dufresnyan account of the first critical edition of Rabelais and the translation of Homere by Anne Dacier (Mercure galant, 1711)-this book brings together research on the turning point between the end of the reign of Louis IV and the beginning of that of Louis XV, on the Quarrel of the Ancients and the Moderns, on the politics and artistic tastes of the Regent, and on the return to Rabelais, whose work is in "l'Index" as a symbol of French gaiety and directness.
