Article reports the psychometric properties of a Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) in Chilean university students sample (N= 807). Reliability analysis showed good internal consistence (a= .87). Correlation among elements with total is appropriate. The exploratory factor analysis indicated a single factor solution accounting for 58.53% of the variance. All items included in the SWLS have high factor loadings (between .41 and .75). Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model fit was acceptable (GFI= .98; AGFI= .95; RMR= .03; CFI= .98; NFI= .98). Results obtained by the scale indicate moderate levels of life satisfaction (M=4.10) and significant differences between men (M= 17.64) and women (M= 21.53). Additionally, significant correlations between the SWLS and satisfaction with different domains assessed are detected.
