POWERLINE FSK COMMUNICATION USING SIGNAL WIRE TECHNIQUE

摘要
This paper presents comparison of normal setup for FSK (frequency shift key) modulated powerline communication and a new technique for powerline communication with signal wire (signal wire technique) along with three encoding techniques. The test has been performed with a commercially available FSK PLCC modem over a 1km powerline which consist of background noise and impulsive noise generated by electrical appliances and switching devices. Presence of noise in the powerline corrupt the messages. In this paper, it is observed that for low as well as for high SNR the BER for normal setup of FSK plcc is much higher than signal wire technique of powerline communication in which one extra wire of signal is required.
