摘要
Experts suggest that hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) needs to evolve with the introduction of HTTP 2.0 to meet new challenges and make the web faster. HTTP 2.0 will make applications faster, simpler, and more robust by enabling efficient multiplexing and low-latency delivery over a single connection and allowing Web developers to undo many of the application 'hacks' used to work around the limitations of HTTP 1.1. Many existing links are within a small constant factor of the speed-of-light limit, and while there is scope for improvement, especially with respect to 'last-mile latency'. At the core of all HTTP 2.0's performance enhancements is the new binary framing layer which dictates how HTTP messages are encapsulated and transferred between the client and server. The new binary framing layer in HTTP 2.0 removes the limitations and enables full request and response multiplexing.
