摘要
A study was conducted with the aim of testing the applicability of the Phosphate Process to South African feed materials, and quantifying crystal growth during fluxing and leaching. Examination by X-ray diffraction indicated that the phosphate process is successful at recovering rutile from the South African titania slag. Leaching tests provided information on the effects of stirring rate, particle size, temperature, and acid concentration.
