摘要
A mobility model is introduced under the generalized conditions based on tracking the mobile stations in a cellular environment. This model is used to characterize mobility parameters such as average number of handovers and cell residence time. A teletraffic model is built using the created mobility model, to describe users behavior. Handover and new call blocking probabilities are investigated. Call dropping probability is considered for various traffic intensities and cell sizes. It is shown that negative exponential distribution is a good approximation for channel holding time. A design aspect considering the number of channels in a cell is pointed out.
