摘要
During the last years a need to support organisation behaviour by workflow oriented software applications increased rapidly. We do not see the main problem in sharing information (group-ware systems), but in defining responsibility, exceptions solving, modularity and interfaces. In such cases, there is a call for standards. In the paper we introduce the standard of Specification and Descrition Language (SDL). Although the SDL history in telecommunication systems is twenty years long, an SDL description of a workflow system is a unique method solving the problems mentioned above. SDL is closely connected to the Unified and Modelling Language (UML). UML gains a good reputation in the world of object-oriented system modelling, and a natural transition from UML to SDL is presented here.
