Smearing effects of ρ and a1 meson widths on heavy-hadron decays

摘要：

We study the effects of mass-averaging over the widths of rho and a(1) mesons, respectively, on the branching ratios of heavy baryon decays involving rho or a(1) mesons in the final state. The smearing effects lead to the lowering of branching ratios by about 10-30%. We have also calculated the smeared branching ratios for the two-body hadronic decays of B and B-s mesons. The results thus obtained are in good agreement with the experimental values wherever available.
