摘要
Town centres and age-restricted housing are two of the fastest growing developments in the United States. This research attempts to estimate the trip rates that are generated by these two development types through data collection and the analysis of selected developments in the state of Maryland. The results of this research will be sent to the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) to be included in their Trip Generation Manual. Furthermore, the results of this research are expected to be utilized by the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) for traffic impact study and planning purposes.
