摘要
Water supply distribution network is suffering from different types of control and management issues leading to loss of water in terms of leakages and thefts. Further involvement of human workers in managing the water supply has made it difficult and uncontrollable issue. This review with exhaustive literature review in this area. Total 132 research papers published during year 2006 to 2015 has been reviewed with a typical process. A lot of research has been done and are undergoing in the area of control and monitoring of water supply distribution networks. There are three different issues covered under this area through the literature review. The issues are based on Leak Detection, Underground Water Theft, and Control Monitoring in Water Supply. The previous research work studied deals with use of advanced technologies such as WSN, embedded systems, communication technologies. But the solutions are in parts, rather than in full giving complete solution. This paper contains 5-stage analysis of papers which describe all the aspects related to that paper. The paper presents different types of analysis of data in different domains, their strengths, limitations, and comparative analysis based on exhaustive literature review as per different stages.
