摘要
The effect of the regime of heat treatment with interrupted quenching on the properties of balls 80 mm in diameter produced from low-alloy chromium-bearing steel is investigated. It is shown that in the case of through hardening that provides a hardness of over 52 HRCe the balls crack over the entire cross section after the self-tempering finishes. The susceptibility of cracking increases when the time of residence of the balls in the quenching medium is increased and the cooling in the stage of self-tempering is accelerated.
